FAQ
Good to know.
Everything you need before you buy — from fit and features to installation and warranty.
Dimensions and compatibility.
Will it fit my existing 24" cutout?
Yes. All three Breda models are designed for a standard 24-inch North American cutout: minimum 24" wide, 22.44" deep, and 33.86" tall. The height adjusts from 33.74" to 36.61" on leveling feet — the same range you'll find on Bosch, Miele, and other European brands. If your existing dishwasher fits the space, a Breda will too.
What's the difference between the three models?
LUDWT30150 — Panel Ready, 45 dBA, 15 place settings, push-button top controls, status light on panel.
LUDWT30155 — Stainless Steel finish, 45 dBA, 15 place settings, push-button top controls. Freestanding — no panel required.
LUDWT30250 — Panel Ready with optional stainless door, 43 dBA, 17 place settings, third rack, brushless DC motor, touch controls, floor-level status light. The flagship model.
Can I attach a custom cabinet panel door?
Yes — the LUDWT30150 and LUDWT30250 are fully panel-ready. A standard 3/4" overlay door panel cut to your cabinet door dimensions attaches directly. No special hardware is required beyond what comes with the unit. The LUDWT30250 can also be ordered with an optional factory stainless door and handle if you prefer a finished look without a custom panel.
How it cleans and dries.
What wash cycles are included?
All models include 6 programs: Normal, Heavy, Auto, Quick, Rinse+Hold, and Pots & Pans. The Auto cycle uses built-in water sensing to adjust temperature and wash duration automatically — ideal for mixed loads. Additional functions include Sanitize, Self Clean, DryAssist, and Speed Wash depending on model.
How does the drying system work?
Breda uses condensation drying with AutoOpen door pop. At the end of the cycle, the door opens a few centimetres automatically — hot, moist air escapes and is replaced by cooler, drier room air. This gets dishes completely dry without a heating element, which means lower energy use and no risk of warping plastic items. It's the same technology used on high-end European brands.
What's the third rack for on the LUDWT30250?
The third rack is a flat tray positioned above the top rack, designed for cutlery, spatulas, tongs, and small flat items. Moving utensils to the third rack frees the main cutlery basket for additional dishes and unlocks the full 17-place-setting capacity. It's the single biggest workflow upgrade vs. the standard two-rack models.
How quiet is 43 dBA really?
43 dBA is quieter than a whispered conversation (approximately 30 dBA) is louder than silence, but considerably below normal room noise (around 50 dBA). In practice, you'd need to stand in the kitchen and listen for it — from an adjacent room you won't hear it at all. The LUDWT30250 achieves this with a brushless DC motor and additional sound insulation. The LUDWT30150 and LUDWT30155 run at 45 dBA — still very quiet by any standard.
Getting it set up.
What's included in the box?
Every Breda ships with: 8ft braided stainless steel water inlet hose, 8ft drain hose, standard 110V power plug, adjustable leveling feet, and a full installation guide. Most installs require nothing from the hardware store — just connect to your existing hot water supply, drain, and outlet.
Can I install it myself?
Yes. Installation requires a standard 1/2" hot water supply connection, a 1-1/2" drain hose connection to your sink's drain or garbage disposal, and a standard 110V/15A outlet. Homeowners with basic plumbing comfort typically complete the install in under an hour using the included guide. If you'd prefer professional installation, we offer a a $100 Coupon for installation service.
Does it need a dedicated electrical circuit?
Breda dishwashers run on a standard 110V plug and come with the power cord included — no hardwiring needed. A dedicated 15A circuit is recommended by most electricians, but the unit doesn't technically require one. Check your local code if you're in a new build or renovation.
What are the exact cutout dimensions?
LUDWT30150 / LUDWT30250: Min. 24" wide · Min. 22.44" deep · Min. 33.86" tall (unit adjusts up to 36.61").
LUDWT30155: Min. 23.91" wide · Min. 21.82" deep · Cutout height 33.86"–35.37". These match standard North American under-counter cabinetry openings.
Running costs and efficiency.
Is Breda Energy Star certified?
Yes. All three models carry Energy Star certification. Annual energy consumption is 199 kWh/year — roughly $26/year at average US electricity rates. Water consumption is 3.4 gallons per cycle, which is well below the Energy Star threshold of 3.5 gallons. Running a full Breda every day for a year uses less energy than a single 100W light bulb left on continuously.
Does hand washing save water vs. using the dishwasher?
No — and by a large margin. Hand washing a full load of dishes typically uses 20–27 gallons of water. A Breda cycle uses 3.4 gallons. Running the dishwasher saves roughly 17+ gallons per load. The Auto cycle's intelligent load sensing reduces this further for lighter loads.

What does the warranty cover?
Every Breda comes with a 2-year full parts and labor warranty from the date of purchase, plus a lifetime warranty on the stainless steel tub. Parts and labor are fully covered — no deductible, no service fee. Replacement parts are stocked in North America to avoid delays. Service is handled through our authorized technician network across Florida.
What voids the warranty?
The warranty covers manufacturing defects and mechanical failures during normal residential use. It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or damage resulting from improper installation. Commercial use also voids coverage. Following the included installation guide and using the unit as directed keeps you fully covered.
Is the warranty transferable to a new owner?
The warranty is registered to the original purchaser at the original residential address and is not transferable to a new homeowner or buyer.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Contact Breda support by email or phone with your model number, purchase date, and a description of the issue. We'll confirm the fault and dispatch an authorized technician — typically within 2–3 business days. The repair is completed at no charge. You can reach us through the contact page or by visiting any of our Florida showrooms.
Is Breda a real brand? Where is it made?
Yes. Breda appliances are produced by a European manufacturer with over 60 years in the home appliance industry, located in a manufacturing town in Europe. The brand is curated for the North American market and distributed by Pinnacle Sales Group. It's also stocked at AJ Madison, one of the US's most established appliance retailers.
